The Slot Canyons in Arizona are on Native American land. They are called slot canyons because above ground you only see a narrow slot in the ground. But below ground in the narrow canyons, flash flood waters over the centuries have carved the canyon walls into unique swirls and curves. When sunlight enters the slots above, the sunlight reflects off the canyon walls creating different colors that change constantly. Visitors can only enter these amazing canyons with a Native American guide.
